The countdown continues...we have less than four weeks now before I will be getting on an airplane headed to Kenya, Africa. I must say even though I have faith God will work everything out, I am getting a little nervous. But I am also getting very excited to embark on this adventure of a lifetime!!
We still need as much help as possible. So even though I really do not like that I keep asking for donations and help, I just wanted to say we would sooooo appreciate your support in our latest and last fundraiser. Anyone who donates $20 to our mission fund will be entered into a drawing where we will be giving away two coach purses. I won't get into the details about it since I explained everything in my last blog post (and you can find the photos of the purses there as well). But I want to say this fundraiser is kind of off to a slow start since we have only sold 15 tickets and our goal is to sell 165. I guess on the bright side of things for those who have supported us and been entered in the drawing, you have a much better chance of winning with us not having sold very many tickets.
Anyway, we would greatly appreciate prayers about this last fundraiser. I am trusting in God's provision with this, so we will just keep praying and trusting.

On another note, I did want to say it is all starting to get very real for me as I went with my sister this week to get our shots for traveling to Africa. My arm hurts a little today, but other than than praise God I did not have any side effects. I still have to get one more shot in about two weeks, so hopefully that one will go well also. And I start taking medicine to prevent Malaria a week before I leave and then I have to take while I am there, and then also when I get back.
Reading through all of the information about the different diseases and precautions we have to take really makes me thank God we live in the United States. I mean they still have Polio, Mumps and Measles over there!
I want to leave you with a couple verses I have been reading this week.
"Therefore, I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory." - Ephesians 3:13
This one is helping me if I get frustrated about the fact we haven't sold very many tickets.
"If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed...nothing shall be impossible unto you." - Matthew 17:20
